I have had good intentions (the best really) of weeding my front flower beds this summer. But intentions just don't mean squat when everything else takes priority (the garden in the back that yields food!).
Please accept this simple and sincere apology for our overgrown weedy beds. I have begun to clean them out but give me some time, I have two small kids who need me but I should have the bulk of it done in the next few days. Hopefully next year we'll do better so that the sending of another nasty note from the HOA won't be necessary!
With sincere apologies,
Heidi aka Butterfly Mama

What? Nasty notes? Unbelievable.
Oh we have had some of the same. Kids, pregnant, rain, and sun, and we have quite a mess out front! It's amazing to see how fast they all multiple too!
Thanks for the kind words. Hoping that Labor Day Weekend will ring some truth for me!

That would be mutiply . . .
I meant to pull a few while I was there. Time went too fast.
Someone really sent you a nasty note? People just have nothing better to do than harass the neighbors. Good luck with your weeding and your neighbors.
Seriously? My front yard looks horrible too. Next summer I'm going to plant perennials that don't required any care at all. I think I'll plant rock mulch too to help with the weeds..
Hello Heidi,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and letting me know you were there. It's always fun to see a new face.
I've been looking at the pictures in these last few posts of yours, and I must say that you have adorable children!
HOAs just don't care about our busy lives. We have one too, and they almost seem a necessary evil. We have a cactus that fell over in a recent storm, and it's just too heavy to lift and try to replant or throw away. We may be getting the same kind of letter soon. Oh well.
