It must be normal?!?!?!

I love my kids with all my heart but I'm feeling overwhelmed and like I need a break. I cried when I said it out loud to my hubby today who said that it was normal to feel like I needed a break and understandable. For some reason I feel like a bad Mom if I admit that I need some time to myself.

So tell me, what are some ways that you find time to rejuvenate in your life??? My parents are passing through tomorrow so I'm hoping to get a bath in or something.

I can't imagine how hard it is taking care of two kids! You need a break. Absolutely. You need a break because you love your kids and want to be the best mama you can be.
Hope you get one!

A bath sounds wonderful! Sometimes I sneak out in the evening just to our backyard swing and sit and just look at the stars or sky- in quiet!- and just take a breather. Or, lately I try to get out as often as I can (like once a week or so) to meet with a friend for coffee- even if it's just an hour- it helps SO much!

Get thee to a bookstore! Away from the baby (otherwise the first noise from her, you'll get anxious, your boobs will leak and it will be ALL OVER)

I know where you're coming from- 2 was a hard transistion for me but now at #4 I am SO ok with saying I need a break. LOL
The book store sounds very nice. So does a nice bath. I think just going anywhere, the mall, craft store, book store, alone for a couple of hours is nice. If your parents are ok with it- get yourself out of the house for a bit. That always helps me. :)

I've been feeling lately like I need some friend time. I don't even care if I have to take my kids with me, I just need SOME ADULT CONVERSATION!! And not just on the phone, but face to face! You are feeling totally normal!

I always made the most of my toilet time..haha...that is when Jeff was home. Where I used to go in there and out as quickly as possible, after all of the kids came along, I would take my book in there while he was with the kids and hang out for a while. I loved my bathroom time and Jeff was good about giving it to me!

Absolutely normal.... I am sure your Mum will be delighted to have the babes to herself! Get out. I agree with the bookstore bit too. Anything to have some time alone. It is food for the soul!
