Pregnancy cravings?

I might be kind of sporadic in my posting this week and visiting of all of your blogs. I seriously have a large list of projects to finish and things to clean this week. I've got to do this stuff while I feel like it so that's what I'll be doing.

I do have some random questions that I'm going to ask this week, just for fun. The first one is what did you crave when you were pregnant?

I really didn't have any weird cravings when I was pregnant with my son. The only thing my stomach would let me eat for breakfast was eggs and toast, and once I wanted canned peas though not for breakfast. We won't mention ice cream since I love it pregnant or not I don't think it's too special a craving. Tell me what yours were/are will ya???

With my first I wanted pancakes, honeydew melon and slurpees.

With my second I could only keep down ham the first five months, but after that I lived on cinnamon, salsa, wintergreen lifesavers and spicey convenient store nachos. I once ate a jar of pickles in one sitting with her.

First of all...congratulations on your new little one on the way! :D

I can't remember what I craved...except like flipflopmamma, I also wanted cake but that might have been due to have gestational diabetes and not being able to have any!

I do remember what turned me off- especailly in my first pregnancy...my husband's favorite lunch, Top Ramen. I was never a fan of it but could take it or leave it before...but while pregant...I'd have to flee to another room- and fast!

Hmmmm, early in the pregnancy, I don't remember craving much, although I know I ate way too much ice cream.

At nine months, I craved delivery;)

So happy for you!

I craved chicken strips, soft pretzels, and nectarines. Couldn't get near garlic, lettuce, or beef.

It's really an amazing time, isn't it?

Stephanie: I love the combo of cinnamon, salsa, wintergreen lifesavers and spicey nachos! Too funny, I figured out today that I pretty much had to run from raw meat...I guess hubby will be doing even more grilling!

Great news!

Ice cream, ice cream and more ice cream! Of course maybe pregnancy was just my excuse to eat what I already love! :) I always wanted Chinese too. Toward the end I'd crave tangy, vinegary type food.

With Matthew I craved salads, anything spicy, and absolutely hated pizza.

With Mark I loved Thai food, cold coffee drinks (hot ones turned my stomach -- go figure!!), and bananas w/ a glass of milk.

With Noah I craved bread, pasta, & hot pretzels with cheese (cream cheese, cheddar, you name it.) I also gained the most during that pregnancy! (Duh.) I could not be near or smell anything to do with strawberries!!

With Carter ALL I WANTED WAS CELERY and I couldn't gain weight for a while!! I would eat a whole bag of celery per day- even kept some by the bed. And with nothing on it- just plain celery. I could not get enough. Carter was almost 10 lbs when he was born and I've always wondered if it was from the celery!

With Gray I ate so sensibly and really didn't crave anything weird! I did love shredded wheat cereal w/bananas.

Cheese! Particularly food with lots of melted, white cheeses. Pasta and mexican especially. That and strawberries. I would say chocolate, but I've always craved chocolate, so I guess that's nothing new...
