Movies

Seen any good movies lately??? Last month we saw 300 in the theater and other than the gruesome violence (it is a war story after all) I thought it was very good.

Other than that the movies we've rented in the last few months have been pretty bad. Currently, however we are halfway through Dream Girls which I'm finding I quite good, we paused it so my hubby could go have a chat with our new neighbors. They have about 6 kids running outside screaming and playing like 14 year olds do at 9:45 PM. Totally fine since it is in their yard after all but my son's room is about 6 feet away from the side yard where most of the loudness seems to be coming from. Hopefully they won't think we are rude for asking them to keep it down just in the side yard - otherwise we're selling this house and moving anyway so they won't have such prissy neighbors for long!

Back to movies, we also rented The Pursuit of Happyness so I'll have to see how that one goes - I'm assuming I'll be crying a bunch.

Oh, we recently rented A Night at the Museum which I thought was great - funny and predictable but very light and entertaining. I used to LOVE a good scary movie or psychological thriller, I don't know if I'm just getting old or what but I just don't like them anymore. I think now I'm happier with movies like A Night at the Museum!!!!

We were going to see Night at the Museum soon. Movies I like lately are Stranger Than Fiction (if you like that indie type feel), Music & Lyrics - a great one!! Click (get out your tissues), Catch & Release comes out next week I think and I want to see that one, and just yesterday I watched O Brother Where Art Thou? again and that has to be one of my all-time faves!!

Movies?????? What are they? I can't remember when last I actually sat and watched one. In fact, I have DVDs I have been given over the past 3 years still in their wrappers, waiting for me to watch. It would, of course, necessitate me learning how to work the DVD player. Sigh. It has been in this house for 5 years.

Great question. Let me know how Pursuit is..I refuse to watch it because I bawled during the previews. I have a fear of watching movies I know I am going to cry the whole time. We are going to watch Museum again tonight

Movies, love 'em. Just wish I could find more time to watch them in one sitting rather than piecemeal it together. Sorry I can't guide you towards a good one, but appreciate your input on the ones you watched.

It's been a million years since we've gone to or rented a movie! Right now our latest buy is Happy Feet. I don't really care for it, it's kinda boring (see how I need to go see a big person movie?) but SlowMo likes it and theBeast will sit through almost the whole thing!!!

Jeff brought home Night at the Museum for the kids to see. My daughter, Madison, has been wanting to see it for a while! He brought Sandlot for Carter, who loves baseball so much. I know there are a couple of iffy parts in it, at least there are in the older version.
We want to take the kids to see the New Spiderman movie, but want to wait until it settles down some.
We see a lot of movies in the theater in the summer. Lately, Jeff has been bringing a lot home for himself to watch...I can't sit still for too much TV. He brought Pursuit of Happiness. I wanted to see it so badly, but just didn't want to sit through it. He didn't seem to like it much, but I think it is a movie that women might like more...maybe, I don't know. I'll have to get him to rent it again for me.
