Why do I wear my babies?

International Babywearing Week starts in a couple of days and Babywearing Steph is asking for our favorite babywearing photos. (Could I have fit in the word babywearing one more time into that sentance?!) Go link up your favorite pictures too and you can be entered to win a sling from Nonny and Boo. I have a couple from there already but can you really have too many slings?

I love my babies and I love having them close by me but really, really the main reason that I carry them on me is that kissable little head. I could (and do) kiss the little head many, many, many times a day. Oh, and that little baby head smell is just about the best thing ever to keep me happy!

My favorite pictures of my kids in various carriers!

Last November at the San Diego Zoo.
Last Fall!
This past Spring.
This past summer at Auntie's wedding!

Love the pictures! What kinds of carriers are you using in the picture where you are wearing both of your kiddos?

The baby is in my ring sling from Nest and my son is in my Ergo baby carrier over the top.

I only have done this a few times just for fun because it was a LOT of work!!!

My little one has lots of fuzzy, dark hair and I too love having his little head in kissable range all the time when he is slinging.

I love the pic of you carrying both kids!! That is amazing! Is that an ergo? Have you tried a baby hawk? Which do you like better? I want to get a back carry kind, but for the prices I'm not sure which to go with.

I only wore my last baby because I still had two little ones...1 and
2. I just found that there were things that I could have not done without the sling. I didn't wear him for long, however, because he got so big so fast. Plus, it made me still feel pregnant!! You have lots of cool slings that probably work so much better!!

I agree that kissing that little head is one of the best perks of bwing. That last carrier is gorgeous. What kind is it? And I just love the picture carrying both of your little ones.

Baby wearing was first popular with the Native Americans.
We are currently studying them for school and little girl just made her own little papoose cradle board.

Baby wearing been done for centuries. And moms like us carry on the tradition today.
